This is the execution step of the performance management process, where the solutions, that were decided upon during the previous step, are organized into:
- Detailed and actionable plans
- Depending on the nature and magnitude of the solution, this could mean:
- In the case of a small-scale implementation (short term or daily duties, under one organization or the same stakeholder):
- assign management responsibility and deadlines for the implementation to an individual;
- assign responsibility and accountability for reaching the performance target.
- In the case of a major implementation, often involving multiple solutions:
- develop a road map to deploy the selected solutions, identify involved stakeholders, and define the timeline;
- ensure that each individual solution is deployed in accordance with the performance management process. Each project derives its scope, context and expectations (see Step 1 of the process) from the overall implementation plan.
- follow up the deployment of the solutions and track the progress of duties/ assignments.
