Assess crrently used approach

In many cases, organizations already apply a type of performance-based approach, have access to certain data, and use performance objectives and targets to trigger operational Improvements.

Prior to launching any additional performance management process, the maturity of the current process should be baselined.

An inventory of what is already in place should be made and what is missing should be identified. There is also a need to identify where alignment among the current approach is required.
